Players slide a story under the locker slot: they want the pretty fade they saw on a Sunday. 10th Ave does not broadcast. It embosses. If the face is shut on limestone dew, the plate is SHUT no matter how romantic the story sounded in the car from Fountain Square.
Harlan keeps the locker rail honest. Junie keeps two climates because cave-country dew and Beech Bend heat are two cribs, not one kindness. Ellis refuses costume lofts the way a millwright refuses a blank stamped for a different flange.
